Dr. Sandro Michelini dedicated for over 40 years to vascular diseases, lymphoedema, lipedema and related pathologies. A passionate researcher, he spent decades to knowledge sharing of his own clinical experience and the Heads of Centres for the development of basic sciences. He took part in several research projects teams, including the one which discovered the first gene for Lipedema. Always committed to institutions and to national and international scientific societies for the best patients care. Along with the Italian Ministry of Health, he coordinated a commission that drew up guidelines for Lymphoedema, adopted by care centres.  Always committed to involve patients’ associations.
